Labor Rave 9/3/99
or
(How Ann Got Street)

On First Fridays of every skatable month a loose band of street skaters takes to the streets of Chicago for an orderly couple of hours of chaos.
Please this is a street skate protective gear is highly recommended, as are flashing lights.
This is no skate in the park, there are no drinking fountains, bring water.

Thank you Chicago NSP for helping patrol this event.

This page is dedicated to Ann who just a few months ago was uncomfortable standing, stopping and going down hills, took to the streets for 14 miles of skating through some of Chicago's more lively neighborhoods.

Ann this song's for you. (Sung to the tune of The Beverly Hillbillies)
Once there was a gal named Ann,
On her Roller Blades, she could barely stand,
Then one day she met Rick DeLong,
Now on her skates she can really get along.

downhill that is, stopping, standing still
