These are the voyages of Tom Grosspietsch and Bob Ryan. Our four day mission, to go where only hundreds of skaters have gone before-- the distance--86 miles from Athens to Atlanta, GA. Our first stop, "Skate Escape" an Atlanta skate store. In town a few hours before a Friday evening ten mile skate around downtown Atlanta, we hang out and meet other early birds.

We figure that most people will have a story to tell after the weekend, but few will be as wild as Karen and Susan's. In town from NM it seems Karen was trying out some new bearings... without slipping into her wrist guards. Notice the arm wrap, yep she broke it, Thursday night. The Skate Escape found her an extra large wrist guard to cover wrapping and she had every intention of skating Sunday. I passed them about 10 or so miles into it on Sunday and would love to know how far they got. (The results are in and Karen did make it. Way to go!)

Here's Tom, (yes he's skate patrol) on the left and myself getting ready to skate.
